DTE Energy’s Energy Efficiency team needed to hit their residential energy-savings goal of providing residential customers with ways to improve the energy efficiency of their homes to save both energy and money. They wanted to make a customer-friendly program to provide energy efficiency products to customers, educate customers about energy efficiency, deliver an experience that resonated with customers, and provided them control over their energy-savings.
Bradley + Company developed customized Energy Efficiency kits filled with easy-to-install energy efficiency products (measures). The customer would receive items supporting the type of customer they were to DTE. DTE Gas customers would receive products helping them save money on their gas usage, DTE Electric customers would receive products helping them save money on their electricity usage and DTE Gas/Electric customers would receive products supporting savings on all their energy usage. Customers requested a kit via a DTE portal and Bradley would manufacture, purchase, assemble and ship the kits directly to the customer. The program’s success led to improved customer satisfaction, customer engagement and customer energy-savings with close to 200,000 kits!
